Hitting the road this summer? Before you pack the family SUV, check out WalletHub's survey of 2014's Best and Worst States for Summer Road trips.WalletHub compared the 50 United States, using 21 key metrics."We examined not only the attractions, traffic conditions and weather in each state, but we also took into account gas prices and lodging costs to help you plan your budget," WalletHub saidDomestic and international travelers last year spent $621.4 billion on leisure trips, according to WalletHub. This summer, 40 percent more Americans say they plan to take several summer vacations, compared with 2013.
