A MUST DO, when in Old Town Scottsdale...as you venture back to the 50s-style Ice Cream Parlor, Sugar Bowl, located at 4005 N Scottsdale Rd, romance and nostalgia are sure to follow your date with your special someone.  Pink and White booths, old-fashioned soda jerks, and amazing hot fudge bring you to the heights of dessert heaven.   So popular, some may remember Bil Keane, cartoonist of the Family Circus would frequently draw Billy and his family enjoying the ice cream parlor...it was a favorite.  It is one of my family's favorites as well, for all our generations.  The Keanes (Bil & Thelma) did live fairly close, in between Camelback and Mummy Mountains, off of Joshua Tree Lane in Paradise Valley.  After his passing, his 1957-built 3 bedroom/6 bath house sold for $950,000 in May of 2012.  Here are a few homes around there in Paradise Valley:
