Family Easter Celebration on April 19 at the Snedigar Sportsplex

The Easter Bunny is making an egg-citing return to Chandler for the City’s annual Family Easter Celebration on Saturday, April 19, 2014. The event starts at 9 a.m. at the Snedigar Sportsplex in south Chandler with some of the most enthusiastic Easter Egg Scrambles in the Valley starting at 10:30 a.m. for kids up to 9 years of age. At 11:30 a.m., there is a Family Easter Basket give-a-way before the event concludes at noon.
The event is free, with minimal charges for some interactive children’s activities and photos with the Easter Bunny. In addition to the egg hunts there will be information booths, displays, art and take-home crafts, interactive amusements, and performances.
A coloring contest for kids also has prizes in several age groups. The coloring contest forms should be picked up in advance at any Chandler community or recreation center, or on the City website, and the finished design returned to the City by April 11 for judging. The winners will be announced at the April 19 event.
The Snedigar Sportsplex is at 4500 S. Basha Rd., and parking is also accessible from Alma School Road.
